I am constantly amazed at the emotional element that shows up when Tapping with clients who are having pain. It doesn’t have to be a trauma that caused the pain, as in my case. Often it is simply what a client has been told about the pain itself. I recently worked with a woman who had what she described as a “botched surgery” on her knee 12 years prior.
During the long journey to healing, she had physical therapy; which is often one of the healing modalities used to recover from surgery.
She described the therapist as “uncaring and rough”. My client felt like she was being blamed for not healing quick enough. During one of the sessions, the physical therapist said to her “You’re going to have to have another surgery and they will have to “CRANK YOUR KNEE” to fix it”.
Those words left an anger in her body, specifically her knee, that we were able to Tap out, allowing the pain to resolve.
In a situation like this, all that is needed is to tell the story while Tapping on the 9 points. No set up statement is required.
Sometimes you’ll find a specific aspect of the story that is remaining after the first round of Tapping, not allowing complete resolution. You can then use that specific aspect in the next round, this time using a set up statement.
For example: Using the set up statement “Even though she said “Crank my knee”, it’s OK for me to release this now, or it’s safe to relax about this now, or that’s in the past and it’s OK to let it go” etc.
Reminder phrases on the next 7 points could be “Crank my knee” then for the last point under the arm, “Letting it all go now”.
Hoping this can be helpful If anyone is experiencing pain that won’t resolve.
As a reminder, I am a forever resource if you get stuck on wording. No need for a full session, sometimes just a short phone call or text or email is all that’s needed to find the specific words needed for your body to heal.
I am here for you!

Tapping is a life changing tool that is accessible anywhere anytime for anything!
Hope to see you there :)
January 2025
As the new year begins, would bringing more ease into your daily life be helpful?
Tapping is a simple yet powerful self applied tool that does just that!
My story demonstrates the power of "aspects" or "nuggets". Missing the mysterious "aspect" or "nugget" can delay physical or emotional healing.
30 years ago, during my nurses training, a patient had a fatal heart attack and landed on top of me. As a result of this traumatic event, I experienced 30 years of undiagnosable pain. To help with my pain, I was given free reign to try any and all treatments. These treatments included medication's, injections to my spine and sacroiliac joints, medical massage, acupuncture, hypnosis, and on and on. I was aware that the pain was being caused by the trauma of the initial event, but no matter what I tried, I could not get relief. After trying to work through the pain for several years, without success, I finally had to leave hospital nursing.
12 years ago, I learned Tapping. My mentor practitioner zeroed in on what the specific "aspect" or "nugget" about the event was that would not allow the pain to resolve.
The patient that fell on me had been a DNR. He was in the ICU and in critical condition. He or his family had chosen no resuscitation, should his heart stop. When he had the fatal heart attack and landed on top of me, he was scheduled to be released from the hospital the next morning. He had been sharing with me how excited he was to go home and be with his family. No one had addressed his code status so he was still DNR. Therefore, when he had the fatal heart attack, and landed on top of me, he was not resuscitated.
I was a naïve, young nurse in training. At the time, I felt he should have been resuscitated. My beliefs may be different now, but that "aspect" of my traumatic event was what stuck in my body, causing all that pain.
When I was able to TAP OUT that "aspect", the pain resolved within minutes. That was 12 years ago and I have never had a moment of back pain since!
Being a detective with yourself to find out the specific "aspect", causing distress, is the key to using Tapping effectively. I teach these nuances in private sessions and at my "Living With Ease Through Tapping" Workshops.
Feel free to reach out for a private session, in person or on zoom, or attend one of my Tapping Workshops. I would love to help you find the missing link to relieve your issue, whether physical or emotional.
December 2024
It’s December! The month of Holiday plans, parties, cooking, and often an overwhelming amount of details to tend to.
No matter how many things need to get done, it is still possible to maintain calmness and relaxation in the midst of Holiday chaos.
When you get into a state of stress, your Amygdala thinks you are in actual danger. The Amygdala is your “Fight or Flight” gland and it secretes stress hormones, such as Cortisol and Adrenaline from your brain into your body to help you prepare for the danger. It has NO discernment whatsoever. It doesn't understand you are just feeling overwhelmed and not about to be killed by a tiger.
When Tapping on the 9 points you have learned from me or other sources, here are some words you can use as you Tap.
These words combined with Tapping will send a calming signal to the Amygdala, allowing it to CHILL OUT.
Some set up statements could be:
“Even though there are so many things to do and I feel overwhelmed, it’s safe for me to relax now”
“Even though I feel overwhelmed with all the details I need to do, I’m safe right here right now.”
"Even though I feel stressed for all that is being asked of me, it’s OK for me to relax and take one step at a time.”
Reminder phrases on the other Tapping points might be:
This overwhelm
So much to do
I’m so stressed out
There is so much happening
I’m in overwhelm
There is just too much I need to do
All these things needing my attention
And then under the arm - “Letting It All Go Now”
Hope that is helpful!
Happy Holidays!
May they be calm and peaceful and most of all ENJOYABLE!
I am teaching a “Living with Ease Through Tapping” Workshop in Coeur D’Alene Idaho on Feb 15th. You will learn EVERYTHING you need to know to use Tapping effectively for ANYTHING that may be bothering you, whether it be physical or emotional.
Hope you can join me for a fabulously fun day!
November 2024
Here we are again - at that time of year when we begin to think about the upcoming Holidays....YIKES! I don't know about you but time seems to be speeding faster and faster these days.
As I continue to work with private clients and teach Tapping Workshops in various settings, I am struck by how effortless it can be to feel better about pretty much anything in such a short time. It is important to me that I not waste time on negative emotions or physical pain IF I can change those.
In my work as a Hospice nurse, I often hear families still struggling with painful memories from the past, family trauma affecting current relationships, etc.
In my experience, although we can never go back and change the past, it is relatively easy to change how you feel about it now, which changes the whole dynamic.
Wouldn't it be wonderful to release all those yucky feelings from the past, so you can be present here and now?
That is what I teach people to do.
I am now offering online Tapping Workshops monthly as well as ongoing private sessions.
If you or someone you know is interested in attending, please sign up here: https://tapwithin.com/upcoming-workshops.
There is a maximum of 10 participants per workshop for a more personalized experience.
You can also download Tapping Instructions under resources on my website: https://tapwithin.com/more-resources
Happy Holidays & Happy Tapping!
PS........There is a special event surprise coming soon......stay tuned...
August 2024
Can you believe September is almost here already? It feels like summer is flying by - for me anyway. Not sure how I feel about that to be honest. In North Idaho where I now live, the change of season is quite dramatic, so different from California where I spent most of my adult life.
No matter the season, I continue to teach Tapping wherever, whenever possible.
I’d like to share a story about the many ways Tapping can be used to ease discomfort in our lives, whether physical or emotional.
I was volunteering at a local music festival. A fellow volunteer and I started talking about sleep and how difficult it can be to get to sleep after a stimulating evening, like working at the festival on the late shift. I asked if she was able to take a nap that day and she proceeded to share about a horrible nightmare she had the night before. She had been afraid to take a nap for fear the nightmare would recur. She shared all the details and became quite upset “seeing” the person that had hurt her in the nightmare.
I never miss an opportunity to teach someone Tapping so that’s what we did. We tapped on the 9 points while she talked about the specifics of what happened during the nightmare. After 1 round of Tapping, (about 45 seconds) she could no longer see the face of the person who had hurt her and was even having a hard time recalling any details.
She felt totally calm retelling the nightmare. When I followed up with her the following day, she had been able to sleep without fear of the nightmare returning.
The simplicity and power of this technique has been blowing my mind for the past 12 years and continues to do so every day.
I am passionate about supporting the well-being of individuals as a way to heal our global community.
For those that do not live in Sandpoint, I offer sessions via ZOOM which clients tell me is just as effective as in person and even easier - no driving necessary :)
To More Ease In Our Lives,

April 2024
As April arrives and we see sweet purple Crocus flowers popping up around us, many of us feel our emotions and mood begin to soar with the sunlight and longer days. Then sometimes there are issues, often from the past, that keep us from those feelings of lightness and pleasure.
I am continuing to offer Tapping sessions via ZOOM (or in person if you live near Sandpoint Idaho) for the purpose of creating more peaceful lives individually, with hope that leads to a more peaceful world for us to share.
I was recently given the opportunity to teach a Tapping Workshop for the faculty at Sandpoint Waldorf School. The response was so positive and a few teachers shared with me how it is benefiting their students. Counselors at LPOSD invited me to give a Tapping presentation so they can help their students relieve stress and anxiety as well as for their own stressful emotions. Kids and adults alike can learn to use Tapping easily.
My dream is for everyone who chooses so, to have the knowledge to use this easy to learn self applied tool to decrease stress and anxiety on a daily basis. Physical pain and trauma can also resolve quickly using Tapping.
At the end of a one hour session, you will possess the competence and confidence to use this tool for you, your friends and family. It’s that easy to learn!
If you are not familiar with this wondrous and powerful technique, please visit my website: Tapwithin.com. Feel free to call or email me if you have any questions.
To schedule a Tapping session with me, please visit Tapwithin.com. If you are unable to find a time that is convenient for you, call, text or email me and I will make it work :)
Hope to see you soon!

January 2024
Here we are in a New Year yet again! My wish is for this year to be a great year for us all.
I continue to offer private sessions via ZOOM as I continue my commitment to spread this easy to learn healing tool.
My past experience with clients and workshop attendees is that as they heal past traumas, hurts, physical pain etc, life becomes better and better. Using Tapping to heal past wounds not only resolves those issues, it also gives you a tool to use as other things show up to deal with - as they almost certainly will - we are humans after all :)
I recently did Surrogate Tapping on a friend’s dog who had some serious past trauma. My friend told me afterwards…… “She is showing more calmness/less anxiety and is a lot more relaxed. She seems less “on guard” She still reacted to a dog, from a 12 of intensity to an 8 or 9, so it was definitely helpful. I look forward to having you work with her again”.
We had done the one session with my friend in my home, her dog at home; in other words, the pet/animal does not have to be present for the session, only the person acting as the surrogate.
The healing I witness as I teach Tapping in different settings is often nothing short of phenomenal, and the gratitude I feel for learning and sharing this gift makes my life feel so fulfilled.
If you know of anyone that might benefit from a private session for themselves or their furry loved ones, please feel free to share.
I am teaching a Tapping Workshop in Sandpoint Idaho on Jan 20th, should any of you happen to be in Sandpoint skiing or just enjoying the beauty up here.
Hope to see you soon!

October 2023
As November rolls around and the Holidays approach, sometimes old memories surface about our families that may not feel too great :)
As I continue to teach this amazing tool of Tapping, I am often flabbergasted by what’s possible to be healed, no matter how long it’s been an issue.
I was recently visiting a 94 year old hospice patient of mine when she shared how she would wake up in the middle of the night and then couldn’t go back to sleep because she would remember things that made her so angry she “wanted to hit someone”.
I asked her what she was so angry about. She told me how her husband (who died 25 years ago) used to yell and scream at her son (now 68 years old) and she was still SO ANGRY with him.
I asked if she would do a weird thing with me, she said sure! She rated the anger at 10/10 and felt it in her chest. We tapped 2 rounds when she told me the anger was gone! A few minutes later she asked me if she was supposed to feel light, “like something was lifted off of her”. YES! I said :)
It is easy to hold onto pain without even realizing it’s impact on our physical and emotional well being. I am beyond grateful I am able to teach this tool to folks who are interested, hopefully possibly making our world a more peaceful place to live.
I continue to offer private sessions via ZOOM. If you or someone you know would like to release any painful memories, please visit my website to schedule a time. I often have snippets of time I don’t put on my calendar, so if you can’t find a time that works for you, call, text or email me and we will work it out.
Until next time, Happy Holidays and Happy Tapping!
Beryl
September 2023
As Summer winds down and school begins for so many families, I wanted to take this moment to connect with past clients and Tapping workshop attendees.
As many of you know, I moved to North Idaho 2 ½ years ago and have loved sharing Tapping in my new community! It has been very well received and in September I will be teaching nurses and counselors in our local school district how to help the students with this technique. I’m beyond excited!
I have shared many times my dream of teaching Tapping in every school, helping to create a more peaceful world to live in. So Grateful the school district has opened up to this :)
I continue to work with clients all over the country via ZOOM and I invite anyone who feels they might benefit from a session to reach out.
I’d like to share a brief story I recently experienced with a client of mine that illustrates the powerful healing Tapping can provide. This gentleman had experienced a Traumatic Brain Trauma 4 years ago. He had sought out many different treatments over the years, some traditional, some alternative. Although he had seen improvement in many areas, he still had intense light and sound sensitivity to the extent where he had to wear a hat and dark glasses at all times, and the sound sensitivity was so painful, he used double sound protection when he used his coffee grinder in the morning.
We Tapped together for 3 one hour sessions, and by the end of the 3rd session his sound and light sensitivity was completely gone! He was speechless as you can imagine!
I have also recently purchased the “Tapping Solution App” and I am sharing my login so anyone who is interested in having access to the App can benefit.

Feel free to contact me if you ever have questions about how to best use this technique to improve physical and emotional well being. I am an ongoing resource for you :)
In the meantime, please enjoy these sweet pictures of precious puppies I have been able to enjoy with my 3 year old granddaughter. (There are actually 12 of them!)
I don’t know about you, but if I am having a less than great day, puppy pics always cheer me up :)
Be well and Happy Tapping!
