It’s December! The month of Holiday plans, parties, cooking, and often an overwhelming amount of details to tend to.
No matter how many things need to get done, it is still possible to maintain calmness and relaxation in the midst of Holiday chaos.
When you get into a state of stress, your Amygdala thinks you are in actual danger. The Amygdala is your “Fight or Flight” gland and it secretes stress hormones, such as Cortisol and Adrenaline from your brain into your body to help you prepare for the danger. It has NO discernment whatsoever. It doesn't understand you are just feeling overwhelmed and not about to be killed by a tiger.
When Tapping on the 9 points you have learned from me or other sources, here are some words you can use as you Tap.
These words combined with Tapping will send a calming signal to the Amygdala, allowing it to CHILL OUT.
Some set up statements could be:
“Even though there are so many things to do and I feel overwhelmed, it’s safe for me to relax now”
“Even though I feel overwhelmed with all the details I need to do, I’m safe right here right now.”
"Even though I feel stressed for all that is being asked of me, it’s OK for me to relax and take one step at a time.”
Reminder phrases on the other Tapping points might be:
This overwhelm
So much to do
I’m so stressed out
There is so much happening
I’m in overwhelm
There is just too much I need to do
All these things needing my attention
And then under the arm - “Letting It All Go Now”
Hope that is helpful!
Happy Holidays!
May they be calm and peaceful and most of all ENJOYABLE!
I am teaching a “Living with Ease Through Tapping” Workshop in Coeur D’Alene Idaho on Feb 15th. You will learn EVERYTHING you need to know to use Tapping effectively for ANYTHING that may be bothering you, whether it be physical or emotional.
